Gregory M. Mundis
Gregory M. Mundis, Sr. was elected executive director of Assemblies of God World Missions at the 54th General Council in 2011. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and a member of the Executive Presbytery. As executive director, Mundis serves a family of 2,740 AG missionaries and associates in 217 countries and territories.
Prior to his election, Mundis served as the Europe Regional Director (1998-2011) and as the area director for Central Europe (1991-1997). A missionary since 1978, Mundis served in Austria for 17 years, where he directed the nation's Global University ministry; led outreaches to children, teens and adults; helped develop Christian radio and television; trained and mentored pastors; and assisted in church planting efforts. Mundis also helped plant Vienna Christian Center, an international church that has grown to more than 2,000 people from various countries. He served as youth pastor of Central Assembly of God in Springfield, Missouri from 1974-1978.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Mundis holds a doctorate in cross cultural studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a masters in cross cultural ministry from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and a bachelor's in Bible and Theology from Central Bible College.
He is author of Eye on Europe — Charting our Course into the Future and Toward a European Church Planting Missiology.
Mundis and his wife, Sandie, have a daughter and a son.
